Update on Mile Hi Racing Track Closure

ImageIt is amazing how much of a difference CGA's Volunteers have already made!   Together with the other adoption groups, it appears all of the dogs affected by the track closure have been claimed by a group and/or moved into an adoption program.  However, CGA will still need fosters and other volunteers, as well as adoptive homes, as we face new and exciting challenges ahead.

Click here to read the status update from July 18th.

How can you help in this time of need?  Fostering, Donating, and Volunteering Your Time.

Welcome

CGA is a non-profit organization 501(c)3 devoted to placement and adoption of greyhounds. Foster programs are available. Based in the metropolitan Denver area, Our volunteer base continues to grow, as more and more greyhound enthusiasts become involved. We are available to answer any of your greyhound questions and introduce you personally to some of these miraculous animals.

Truffles: Oh So Sweet!
TrufflesMy name is Truffles and I am a 9 year old female greyhound.  I am a very pretty white girl with fawn spots.  I am good with kids and small dogs, but not cats.  I mistake cats for rabbits, which I've been told is "Poor Etiquette."

I am just getting the hang of my retirement, and I am proving that you can definitely teach an old dog new tricks!   My foster dad says that I am very mellow, and really enjoy going on walks.

Don't be fooled... They may call me a "senior" but as you can see by my picture, I certainly don't act my age!

I'd like a yard, but right now I don't have one in my foster condo and I do just fine. I howled a bit when I was left alone for a couple of hours in my crate, but now that I am allowed out I am a Very Good Girl.  I have tidy housebreaking manners and promise not to chew your stuff.  Although the delightful things I  find in the trash are sometimes too much to resist!  And I might steal a slipper or two.

Truffles are sweet, rare and thrive in cool shady spots.  The only difference between them and me is that they are expensive, and I am priceless!  Does your life need some Truffles?
